    Gp100 44spl

Thinking about springing for a nice blued gp100 5" in 44spl. Thoughts? I've never owned a ruger revolver and this one is priced decent. Definitely will reload for this one.

I own the Ruger GP100 in 357 mag and love it. It is a tank. I have shot some of the hottest loads through it with no issues.

Load as much as possible and shoot as much as possible.
    Currently reloading for .380 ACP, 9MM,327 Federal Mag, 38 Special, .357 Mag, 40 S&W, 44 Mag, 45 ACP, .458 Socom, .223 Remington, 22-250,7MM Remington Mag, 30-06 and 340 Weatherby Mag, 50 Beowolf

I’ve also got a gp100 in 357magnum. It has been a great gun.

I thought about buying the 44 Spl. Then decided not to when the wife told me that she would whack me with it if I did. I read quite a bit and watched a lot of videos on it. Looks like it is just as well built as the 357.

Load as much as possible and shoot as much as possible.

44spl is a fun round to load for sure.
If it were me, I would do a 44mag, or the 357mag, as you can shoot the lighter calibers in both (38spl in 357, 44spl in 44mag) and still have Magnum capabilities if wanted
    Just my .02c

Good question. May have to google that one. I have never looked into it, but I would think those are basically the same caliber. Not much to gain

Not a bad deal, just not a great caliber for more than target shooting with what I call light loads.
Still a fun caliber to own and shoot once and awhile too.
I sold all mine, and just went 44 mag

If I were doing the .44spl blued I’d make it this one: http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=RUGP4451. MSRP’s are higher than what they are selling for honestly online in places like Gunbroker.
